Ricky Nevado, the upcoming reggae artist from Jamaica, has accomplished this feat with his first single, ‘Rock Me'. YouTube reviewers have given this young artist a big thumbs up, and the stage is now set for hearing more from Ricky.
A tender love song that reverberates with good old vibes, ‘Rock Me' has been described as ‘real music with a meaning', and the video, directed by Brian Roberts of Honest Illusions, has been liked for revealing an amazing chemistry. That makes ‘Rock Me' a treat for all young couples and music lovers to feel the ‘ride or die' message and fill up with a declaration of love for the women in their lives who stood by them in low moments.
For those who may not know, Ricky Nevado has opened for Grammy Award winning reggae group Morgan Heritage in Hartford, Connecticut. He was also the band leader and pianist for Future Vibration Band. Ricky's inspiration comes from artists such as Freddie McGregor, and young artists like Romain Virgo or Chronixx.
'I am on my way to take my music career to the next level and realize my dream of making good music that has longevity and will create meaning in the lives of others," says Ricky Nevado.
At a young age of 21, Rick is moving closer to his dreams, carrying a mutual admiration for his mentors and a deep love to write and play the piano. He has recently struck a deal with U.S. based record label, Kong Star Records, who have recorded his first single, ‘Rock Me'.
Ricky was born Nevado Wellington in St. Catherine, Jamaica, home to notable artists like Christopher Martin, Spice, and Tony Curtis. He developed an early passion for music, and encouraged by family and friends, revealed his virtuoso talent at the church, school and local competitions, such as the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's performing arts festival.
