Turkey's ruling party to hold rallies in election support in 58 provinces

Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) will hold rallies in 58 provinces of the country in support of the parliamentary and presidential elections, Turkish media reported April 26.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will take part in almost all the election campaigns, according to the report.

The first rally as part of the election campaign will be held in Turkey's Izmir province April 28.

Eleven political parties will participate in the parliamentary and presidential elections to be held in Turkey on June 24.

In the parliamentary election held in Turkey on Nov. 1, 2015, the Justice and Development Party (AKP) garnered 49.41 percent of the votes, the People's Republican Party (CHP) - 25.38 percent, the National Movement Party (MHP) - 11.93 percent, and the Democratic People's Party (HDP) - 10.7 percent.
