Knife attacks in England and Wales rises by 22 percent


(MENAFN) New reports revealed that knife attacks have increased by 22 percent in England and Wales during the last year.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) declared that the police reports including knives or other sharp instruments has risen 22 percent.

There had been 39,598 assaults reported involving a knife or sharp instrument in 2017, compared with 2016, which listed 32,468.

Aside the crimes involving sharp weapons, assaults involving guns have increased by 11 percent, to record 6,604 crimes.
