UK in efforts to avoid Iranian nuclear accord failure

(MENAFN) Tehran Times daily reported the UK to be investing all its efforts for the Iranian nuclear accord to avoid a collapse.

British ambassador Nicholas Hopton warned that the US and Iran would "make a mistake" if they actually dropped the nuclear deal.

Responding to President Trump's plan to pull out of the international deal, the ambassador stated "I hope that the United States won't withdraw."

Ambassador Hopton confirmed "we are doing everything possible to explain to our American partners why the deal is an important part of international and regional security mechanism and should be maintained."

Hopton also highlighted the UK's complete dedication towards the nuclear agreement, as it aims to make certain its execution does not fail.

He added "we will continue to be fully committed to the success and the implementation of the deal so long as Iran also fully respects its commitments."
