Oman- Comex 2018: Today's Children are Tomorrow's Engineers


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- A workshop for kids was held at Majlis.com stage at the 2nd day of #COMEX2018, and was presented by Ammar bin Ali Al Maskari, CEO of Engineering for Kids Company, to teach kids some basic engineering concepts through mathematics and science in an entertaining way.

The workshop activity was focused on engaging kids to learn through using Scratch PC program to develop their thinking skills and sense of creativity by producing their own interactive stories, games, and animations to advance their level as they grow up.

Many kids participated in the workshop from different schools and they were introduced to the program to learn how to create a game called Balloon Pop. They followed the instructions given by the presenter, which included using motion sensors through PC front camera and setting variables for counting time and score, and were able to learn basic concepts on repetition and conditions to create their own games.

The Engineering Village Company is also participating at COMEX2018; welcoming kids from different schools to do activities related to electronics and mechanica. The center is based in South Al-Hail, Al Muzn Mall. It is an educational center that aims to focus on developing engineering and technology related skills through providing technical training and after school activities for all ages. The village also suppliesall sorts of Electronic Components, Logic Gates, Programmable Chips, Programmers, Sensors, Motors, Solar Panels and a variety of Electronics Workshop Tools, and it aims to provide the tools, experience and the needed environment for creativity and innovation.
