With a few days to go until 2018 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Baku City Circuit Operations Company (BCC) has announced that majority of the tickets are sold out.
According to the latest information, tickets for Filarmoniya, Icherisheher, Bulvar grandstands and Absheron B and Absheron C are completely sold out.
Meanwhile, tickets for the rest of the grandstands are almost sold out.
BCC's Head of Commercial Department Bulent Ozerdim commented earlier on the increasing number of local people showing interest in the race.
'Majority of ticketholders are local people similar to previous years. At the same time, we see a greater interest both at international and national level. Undoubtedly, in addition to the fact that Baku City Circuit is hosting the F1 races, varied and interesting entertainment programs also play great role in increasing number of internal and external ticket sales. We hope that F1 fans will enjoy a spectacular race and an unforgettable weekend in Baku," he said.
Tickets for 2018 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix were bought in 68 countries and 45% of ticketholders are foreigners.
Top ten countries include Russia, Monaco, Great Britain, Ukraine, Austria, Georgia, Holland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and United States of America.
Formula 1 Grand Prix of Azerbaijan will be held in Baku on April 27-29.
The length of the race track is just over six kilometers. The width of the widest section of the track is 13 meters, and the narrowest section is around Icherisheher: the width of the seventh and eighth turns is 7.6 meters.
Start and finish is at the Liberty square. The team garages, pit lane and the paddock club are also there.

Paytaxtda bu həftəsonu baş tutacaq 2018 Formula 1 Azərbaycan Qran Prisinə olan biletlərin əksəriyyəti satılıb.
Bakı Şəhər Halqası Əməliyyat Şirkətindən (BŞH) Trend-ə verilən məlumata görə, Filarmoniya, İçəri Şəhər və Bulvar tribunalarına, həmçinin Abşeron tribunasının "B" və "C" sektorlarına aid biletlərin hamısı satılıb. Qalan tribunalar üçün olan biletlər də artıq satılıb qurtarmaq üzrədir.
BŞH-nin Kommersiya şöbəsinin rəhbəri Bülənt Özərdim son günlər yerli tamaşaçıların yarışa böyük rəğbət göstərdiyini deyib: "Hər il olduğu kimi bu il də yarışa yaxınlaşdıqca bilet alanlar arasında yerli Formula 1 həvəskarları üstünlük təşkil etməkdədir. Eyni zamanda, biz bu il yarışa həm beynəlxalq, həm də yerli səviyyədə daha böyük maraq müşahidə edirik. Şübhəsiz ki, bunda Bakı Şəhər Halqasının möhtəşəm F1 yarışlarına ev sahibliyi etməsi ilə yanaşı burada tamaşaçılar üçün müxtəlif zövqlərə xitab edən çox saylı əyləncə və konsert proqramının olmasının böyük rolu var. Ümid edirik ki, Bakı bu il də möhtəşəm yarış və əyləncəyə səhnə olaraq avtoidman həvəskarlarının ən çox sevdiyi yarış məkanına çevriləcək".
Qeyd edək ki, indiyədək ümumilikdə 68 ölkədən bilet alınıb və bu biletlərin 45 %-i xarici ölkələrin payına düşür. İlk onluğa Rusiya, Monako, Böyük Britaniya, Ukrayna, Avstriya, Gürcüstan, Hollandiya, Türkiyə, Birləşmiş Ərəb Əmirlikləri və Amerika Birləşmiş Ştatları daxildir.
