Militants die in Afghan military attacks


(MENAFN) Hanif Rezai , military spokesman in the province declared that nearly 24 militants have died another three dozen were wounded in the ground and air strikes launched by the government forces on Taliban sites in Charbolak district of the northern Balkh province.

Rezai added: "The government forces from ground and air begun attacking Taliban hideouts and positions in Koshka area of Charbolak district at 01:30 a.m. local time today (Thursday) and have killed 24 insurgents and injured 36 others,"

The government will keep on targeting militants in other areas in Balkh province and adjoining districts, meanwhile a specific number of security personnel fatalities haven't been revealed, according to the official.
