(MENAFN) Myanmar President U Win Myint was confirmed to have traveled to Singapore so as to attend the 32nd summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The summit was confirmed to be joined by the president alongside representatives from the ASEAN member countries after Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong sent an invitation.
The summit, as well as meetings linked to it, were confirmed to have started on Wednesday and is to be completed on Saturday.
The president is to mark his first foreign visit since he took office as the leader on March 30.
