Oman- Muscat Private Hospital opens 24x7 chest pain unit


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Muscat Private Hospital (MPH), on Tuesday inaugurated a round-the-clock chest pain unit.

Dr Amr Abdalla Mohammad Hassan, senior consultant interventional cardiologist and head, Department of Cardiology, MPH, Dr Abdel Hakkim Mohammed Khatab Abdel, consultant interventional cardiologist, MPH, and a host of other senior consultants and hospital management were present.

Dr Hassan said, 'The major concern when a patient gets chest pain is the delay in getting the patient to hospital. Most often, patients wait for a considerable time before seeking medical help. Time is precious in chest pain and our mission is to save the life of each and every patient. We are well-equipped with advanced cath lab facility for immediate interventions and the unit functions 24x7 to provide necessary medical help to all the patients.'
