Doha: Inspectors of the General Authority of Customs managed to seize massive quantity of 'tambaku' (a kind of chewing tobacco, which is banned in Qatar) at the Hamad Port.
On a post on their social media handle, customs said that 2.8 tonnes (2,873 kg) of 'tambaku' was found hidden inside water heaters. This had come light during the checking of a shipment arrived at the Hamad Port.
Earlier this month customs had confiscated 12 tonnes of 'tambaku' at Hamad Port.
