Shahid Kapoor to play a boxer in 'Airlift' director's next

Shahid Kapoor, who is currently immersed in the shooting of 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu', has come on-board for 'Airlift' and 'Chef' fame director Raja Krishnan Menon's next film.
Menon has himself confirmed the development but refused to divulge any other detail.
Further, a media report has it that Shahid will be playing a boxer in the film.
The film is currently in the scripting stage
Details
As per the report, "Someone had approached Shahid with the story. He liked it and since he was already discussing collaborating with Raja, Sasha asked the filmmaker if he would want to work on it."
"Shahid wanted to explore that space for quite some time. He plays a boxer who emerges triumphant against all odds in his life," it added.
Meanwhile, 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' will hit the screens soon
Release
Post the massive success of 'Padmaavat', Shahid began shooting for Shree Narayan Singh's 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'.
The film also features Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam.
Shahid is also doing a film with Imtiaz Ali but it has been put on the back burner for now.
'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' is slated to release on August 31.
