(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Sharjah Police has announced the implementation of the new project called Ro'ya (Vision) on Monday to allow the inmates in Sharjah prisons and detention centres to contact their family and children through video calls.
According to the Sharjah Police Instagram account, the new project is the result of the cooperation between Sharjah Police, the Department of Social Services and the Family Court of Sharjah, and it aims at bringing about happiness among inmates in penal institutions as well as that of their families.
Colonel Ahmed Shahil, Director of the Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishment of Sharjah Police said that this new project shows the compatibility of Sharjah institutions' visions towards helping the inamtes in penal institutions to get back to their normal lives and also improve their behavior.
