Jordan succeeds in securing borders with Syria

(MENAFN) Jordan has reportedly beefed up its security of the borders with Syria from terror spill, effectively protecting it since the conflicts erupted.

The kingdom has already foiled a number of infiltration efforts rebels carried out, as it thwarted smuggling operations of weapons and drugs, Minister of State Mohammad Momani revealed.

The minister stated "the Syrian and the Jordanian armies are supposed to be protecting the two sides between the two countries but since the start of the unrest in Syria the Jordan army is protecting the borders in both directions alone."

He then declared the country to have been productive in its protection process and not "even a butterfly can penetrate our borders."
