(MENAFN) The official Xinhua news agency declared that 18 people have died as another five were wounded in the fire, which inflamed at a karaoke bar in Qingyuan City in southern China.
Police believes that the motive behind the incident was arson, as a suspect was detained for initiating the fire.
The man reportedly struggled at the venue and blocked the gate with a motorbike.
The suspect, aged 32, was detained soon after the authorities have offered a reward for anyone who has details of the incident.
