Pakistan Prime Minister seeks stronger defence ties with Sri Lanka

He said this at a meeting with Sri Lanka Army Chief Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake who called on him at the Prime Minister's Office today (Monday).

The Prime Minister called for a greater cooperation and sharing of expertise in the field of defence between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Abbasi further expressed satisfaction over security cooperation between the two countries.

Speaking on the occasion, the Sri Lankan army chief said that appreciated the huge sacrifices of the Pakistani nation and armed forces in the fight against terrorism.

Senanayake said that Sri Lanka was keen to further strengthen its ties with Pakistan in the areas of security and defence. (Colombo Gazette)
