Israel detains groom after firing celebratory rifles

(MENAFN) Israel was confirmed to have detained a groom over celebrating his wedding through shooting with rifles all across a village by men wearing black clothes.

The men were seen in a video that spread the internet firing rifles from vehicles around Segev Shalom, in the Negev desert.

It was believed by an MP that it had been "an IS convoy somewhere in the Middle East".

The arrest of the bridegroom was said to have taken place late Sunday, with him scheduled to appear in court Monday.

Israeli officers are resuming their hunt for other suspects "involved in the dangerous incident", a police statement declared.

Police was later urged by Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan to make a response, stressing that "the actions documented on the roads in the south are very severe and we must not move on to normality after witnessing them."
