The culprits must be brought to justice, said the UN chief, who added: €œThey must not be allowed to succeed in deterring Afghan citizens from carrying out their constitutional right to take part in elections.€
In a statement issued by his spokesman Stephane Dujarric, Guterres extended condolences to the affected families and expressed solidarity with the Afghan government.
