Martin Lewis to sue Facebook over fake ads bearing his name

(MENAFN) Consumer campaigner Martin Lewis is seeking a lawsuit against Facebook over allegations of publishing fake ads using his name.

The MoneySvingExpert founder is set to submit court papers at the High Court Monday against Facebook, accusing it of defamation.

Mr. Lewis accused Facebook of using his name on over fifty ads, releasing them on the platform and leading for damages to be inflicted on his reputation.

Several ads were said to be featuring his face next to endorsements that were not legitimate, with most of the ads linking to articles with fake information.
