Income of S.Korean farming and fishing households up last year


(MENAFN) A government report showed that the standard annual income of South Korea's farming and fishing households gained slightly in 2016 from a year earlier.

According to the report by Statistics Korea, the income of farming households came to an average of 38.24 million won last year, up 2.8 percent from the previous year.

Overall, each farming household spent 30.64 million won in 2017, down 1.3 percent from the previous year, and the average spending of fishing households also declined 3.3 percent to 29.11 million won.

The amount of debt for farming households dropped 1.3 percent on-year to an average of 26.37 million won, while their assets gained 6.7 percent on average to 558.8 million won.
