Iraq: bidders granted more time for Mosul oil refinery project construction


(MENAFN) Iraq was confirmed to have extended its bid deadline for works of construction and operation on its Mosul oil refinery that is to have a capacity for 100,000 barrel per day (bpd).

The Iraqi oil ministry issued a statement, explaining bidding documents to be presented for a couple of investment models, which are build-own-operate (BOO) and build-operate-transfer (BOOT).

The ministry further confirmed the bidding to have been extended from April 1 to May 15, with the closure pushed from May 15 to June 14.

The bidding has been opened for foreign companies as well as investors, aiming for them to bid for the works on the project located near Mosul in the northern province of Nineveh.
