(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Barwa Real Estate Group has announced its participation in Cityscape Qatar 2018, which formally opened yesterday and will run until April 25 at Doha Convention and Exhibition Centre.
At Barwa's booth, the group will showcase a selection of its real estate projects, most prominently the Lusail Land Project. Barwa will also display models of a number of other projects with diversified objectives, including the Affordable Housing Development for Workers - Salwa Road and Dara project.
Barwa Real Estate Group CEO Salman bin Mohamed al-Mohannadi said Cityscape Qatar 2018 attracts a large number of real estate developers from all over the world, offering an exceptional platform to present projects and strengthen relations with investors and experts in the real estate development sector.
Al-Mohannadi stressed that the exhibition will present an opportunity to showcase a number of Barwa's most prominent projects such as the Lusail Land Project, which the group intends to launch soon after obtaining the required approvals.
He said the project 'will be a surprise to the real estate market and an icon of Barwa Real Estate projects, and will represent 'a living example of Barwa's new development philosophy.
Based on creating a new architectural model for the group that achieves the ideal balance between traditional and modern architecture and inspired by Qatari heritage, the new philosophy aims to develop integrated urban communities that provide all the requirements of the residents of these projects, al-Mohannadi said.
The Lusail Land Project is strategically located in Lusail City, the largest project in the Middle East and one of the largest in the world. Spanning over 3.5mn sq m, the project aims to create an integrated residential city to provide 15,000 housing units to accommodate more than 40,000 people with all service facilities and vast green spaces of up to 1mn sq m.
The residential village (Al-Freij), which is the centre of the project, will be built in the old style, such as the popular houses (Al Liwan).
Al-Mohannadi added that Barwa is also offering the Dara Project in Lusail City. Located in the northern part of Fox Hills Zone, the project consists of Dara A, whose construction is nearing completion, and Dara B-F which the Group plans to launch soon.
Dara A has four residential buildings with a built-up area of 41,112sq m consisting of five floors and 271 apartments of different sizes.
