Ajman commerce chamber, Kuwait council eye closer coop.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DUBAI, April 22 (KUNA) -- Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Kuwait Business Council in Dubai and the Northern Emirates hammered out a MoU on Sunday, aiming at propping up bilateral cooperation.
The memo was signed by Ajman Chamber's Investment and Business Development Chief Mohammad Al-Janahi and the Kuwaiti council's chairwoman Luma Bourisly at the former's premises.
Under the MoU, both sides shall promote mutual investment openings, share data and statistics, organize joint initiatives and stimulate institutions and individuals' participation in international events and exhibitions.
Efforts should also be exerted in order to facilitate and exchange personnel visits and trade delegations and to organize joint meetings in presence of businessmen and entrepreneurs, according to the document.
Al-Janahi applauded the memo as the "fruit of earnest cooperation" between Ajman chamber and the Kuwaiti council, while stressing the latter's role in the promotion of UAE-Kuwait cooperation.
He said in a press statement that his chamber attaches much attention to bolstering cooperation with all countries, primarily GCC member states.
On her part, Bourisly underlined the significance of the memo to the development of existing cooperation between the chamber and the council.
She said they had agreed to launch a set of joint activities and meetings with entrepreneurs from both sides attending. (end) smr.mt
