Actress Allison Mack charged of aiding sexual trafficking operation

(MENAFN) American actress Allison Mack has stood before court, accused of assisting a sex trafficking operation pretending to be a mentoring group.

The FBI was confirmed to have seized the ringleader of the disguised group, Keith Raniere, in March in Mexico.

The New York prosecuting attorney explained the actress to be charged of aiding the leader to hire females then later abuse them "both sexually and for their labour".

During the trial, the star who is most recognized for her TV show Smallville has pleaded not guilty to all charges she is accused of.

The judge of a Brooklyn federal court has demanded Ms Mack during a brief hearing to be arrested, with her next court appearance scheduled for Monday.

In a statement, US attorney for the Eastern District in New York Richard Donoghue said "Allison Mack recruited women to join what was purported to be a female mentorship group that was, in fact, created and led by Keith Raniere."
