Oman- Eshraqa donates air conditioners to Al Noor Association for the Blind

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Social Development Arm of Khimji Ramdas, Eshraqa, has donated four air conditioning units to Al Noor Association for the Blind in Nizwa.

This marked Eshraqa's second donation in support of visually impaired communities across Oman in recent months, following the firm's CSR agenda with Omar bin Khattab Institute for the Blind, where the firm delivered state-of-the-art Braille sense machines to enhance learning opportunities.

Nailesh Khimji, director of Khimji Ramdas, said, 'Eshraqa is very people centric; as such, we have an extensive range of social investments that contribute to many different segments of society, essentially wherever we identify a need. 'Disability' has taken a priority in recent months, because with a little support the talent of those managing impairments will become clear and offer them an opportunity to demonstrate their 'ability' to Omani society. This gesture to Al Noor Association will support the development of an environment serving the people of Nizwa, and reflects our CSR strategy, which is committed to seeing what others need and supporting their mission.'

Sultan Ahmed al Sabahi, manager of Al Noor Association for the Blind,Dakhliyah branch, said, 'Our sincere thanks goes to Khimji Ramdas' Eshraqa for its contribution with this essential piece of infrastructure; AC is, after all, important if we are to provide a comfortable environment for those using our centre. Local private sector institutions and CSR Arms like Eshraqa continue to be of great support to blind communities in Oman. On behalf of everyone, Al Noor offers thanks.'

Khimji Ramdas is notable for its many years of contribution to the development of society. It's initiatives range from building infrastructural provisions, to providing access to resources, improving educational facilities, delivering community empowerment programmes, enhancing the capacity of women as well as partaking in other voluntary initiatives.

Eshraqa aspires to deliver a significant contribution to the society focusing on three main pillars: Education, health and community well-being. It has supported Al Noor Association, an institute representing the interests of Oman's visually impaired citizens across local communities with a focus on economic participation, welfare, education, health, training, placement and the comprehension of the Braille language.
