Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment (SCEAI), presided over the council's second meeting of 2018 at Al Bahr Palace yesterday.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Emir and Vice-Chairman of the Council H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Executive Member of the Council, and Their Excellencies members of the council.
The council discussed topics on the meeting's agenda and took appropriate decisions. The council was briefed on the latest developments in energy and investment, reported QNA.
The council also reviewed major achievements of the first national development strategy 2011-2016 and the challenges it faced.
H H the Emir underlined the need to benefit from the lessons learned from the implementation of the first strategy in order to avoid any obstacles that may arise during the implementation of the second strategy 2018-2022 so that optimal attainment of the Qatar National Vision 2030 at various stages can be realised.
