Maid locked in kitchen by employer pleads for help

(MENAFN- Asia Times) A Filipino maid who was locked inside a kitchen by her employer in Saudi Arabia has pleaded for help on Facebook. On Sunday, Maricel Bon Patoc posted a video of herself locked inside the kitchen in her employer's home, The Filipino Times reported.

Patoc said in her Facebook post that it was the third time she had been locked in the kitchen. She was locked in once by her female employer and twice by her employer's 12-year-old child.

The domestic worker said she suffered physical and verbal abuse from her employer's children. She also said her employer's six-year-old child would kick and punch her and throw things at her. The child would also spit at her and insult her, she added.

Patoc tried seeking help from her employment agency but could not contact them. She pleaded for help on Facebook and asked to be rescued from her employer's home.
