(MENAFN- KNN India) DITC holds Awareness camp on Zero Defect Zero Effect in Goa
New Delhi, Apr 3 (KNN) An awareness-cum-registration camp on Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZDZE) scheme of Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises was organized by Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC) in conjunction with Quality Council of India and Goa Industrial Development Corporation from March 26 to 29, 2018 at Goa.
The aim of the program was to create awareness among MSMEs about the Zero Defect and Zero Effect manufacturing.
The scheme called ‘Financial Support to MSMEs in ZED certification' was launched by Prime Minister of India to enhance global competitiveness of MSMEs by providing them financial support in assessment, rating and handholding of its manufacturing processes on Quality and Environment aspects.
The program shed light on the features of the schemes which aims at enhancing the quality of products manufactured by MSME industry with the aim at reducing the polluting effects of manufacturing and improving quality of products at the same time enabling them to compete effectively in the global market.
Further, put light on the objectives of achieving Zero Defect manufacturing in MSMEs providing quality tools, promoting energy efficient manufacturing, increasing productivity, expanding market base, reducing wastage, developing new products and processing and to supporting " Make in India" campaign.
A large number of industrialists along with representatives of industrial associations participated in the event.
More than 160 MSMEs registered free of cost under ZED certification scheme during the workshop. (KNN/YV)
