(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Lebanon-born Swedish singer Maher Zain and Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala were among the many celebrities who attended the closing ceremony of the tenth Muscat International Film Festival (MIFF) on Saturday.
Among the other stars present were director Ali Badrakhan, actor Dawood Hussain, actresses Fakhriya Khamiss and Zahra Arafat.
The event started with the performances of oudist Zaid al Harbi, flautist Kitaro, Maher Zain and Omani singer Haitham Rafi.
Speaking about the festival, Mohammad al Kindi, president of Oman Film Society said, 'We are happy to bring down the curtains on a successfully conducted MIFF for 2018. The festival saw screening of some great films. Ideas and filmmaking techniques were discussed. Various issues concerning Oman and the region were taken up at workshops too. I think movies are a great medium to unite people from across the region.'
