Slovaks demand snap elections in protest

(MENAFN) Slovakia has seen thousands of its residents burst in the streets demanding for snap elections to take place.

Protesters have argued that the resignation of the premier was not sufficient for a corrupt government to be repaired.

The capital Bratislava has had around 50,000 demonstrators holding up signs that said "we want elections" and "Slovakia is going the wrong way", the local Dennik N newspaper reported.

The "For a decent Slovakia" campaign's organizers have released a plan for demonstrations to hit 34 cities in Slovakia along with 25 international cities.
