(MENAFN) Health authorities declared that another five have died of Lassa fever in Nigeria,raising the death toll to 118 since the beginning of 2018.
The widespread sever hemorrhagic fever has been informed about in over 18 states in Nigeria since the first diagnosed case on Jan.1.
The five causalities were reported in the northeastern state of Bauchi.
Commissioner for Health in Bauchi confirmed nine cases of the illness,which is common among many local west African countries.
