(MENAFN) North Korea was declared to be set for a meeting with South Korea a week from now at the border truce village of Panmunjom.
Yonhap news agency reported Seoul to have suggested the idea of a meeting last Thursday with using a border communication channel.
South Korea later received an acceptance letter on Saturday from the government of North Korean President Kim Jong-un for the talks to take place.
Both sides were confirmed to be sending to a three-member delegation to take part in the talks set for 29 March.
