The State Council has issued a guideline to promote the development of "all-for-one tourism," allowing urban and rural residents to use their own homes to legally engage in services such as homestay, The Paper reported.
"All-for-one tourism" was written into the Government Work Report presented by Premier Li Keqiang this year, as a means to develop a whole area as a tourist destination.
Thus, tourists will be immersed in local scenery and culture, instead of just scenic spots or tourist sites. And they can enjoy services not only from hotels and restaurants, but also from local residents.
Meanwhile, the government will integrate the land required for tourism development into overall land use planning.
It's now believed that the annual land use plan should take the tourism sector into consideration, and appropriately expand the supply of required land.
The government also aims to alleviate poverty via promoting "all-for-one tourism," by encouraging rural collective economic organizations to use land to set up tourism enterprises.
