Yemen: Saudi's violations lead two ministers to resignation

(MENAFN) In a gesture of protest, two Yemeni government ministers have announced their resignations, stating that Saudi Arabia has been holding Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi against his well.

Hadi fled Yemen amid the Houthi advances and has been in self-imposed exile in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, along with most members of his government. Some government officials are based in the southern Yemeni port city of Aden.

Yemeni Minister State Salah el-Sayadi announced his resignation in a statement on Wednesday, a day after Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service and Insurance Abdulaziz el-Jabari said in televised comments that he was stepping down.

Saudi Arabia and some other countries attacked Yemen in March 2015 to re-empower the deposed president of Yemen Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi.

Thousands of Yemenis have been killed in the Arabian-American coalition's attack and more than 2,000 have died due to cholera epidemic.
