Madrid:protesters injure three police officers


(MENAFN) Three city police officers were wounded as people threw objects at them in unrest immigrant neighborhood in Madrid,where protests were held for the death of an African street vendor,according to the authorities.

Panish news agency Europa Press declared that the police men,who remain unnamed,were trying to recognize the identity of a Senegalese street hawker,when a crowd started offending them.

The three officers were reportedly treated for their wounds as riot police were set in the central Madrid neighborhood of Lavapies.

Protesters outraged and threw stones at policemen when the Senegalese hawker,aged 35,has died of cardiac detain in the street last week.
