Facebook founder Zuckerberg apologizes for Cambridge Analytica breach


(MENAFN) Chief executive Mark Zuckerberg has acknowledged that Facebook "made mistakes" that resulted in the Cambridge Analytica breach.

The chief executive and founder of Facebook has also issued a statement admitting a "breach of trust" to have taken place.

Mr. Zuckerberg expressed he was "really sorry" during an interview with CNN, as he promised measures against "rogue apps" to be put in effect.

He also noted in the statement posted on Facebook "we have a responsibility to protect your data, and if we can't then we don't deserve to serve you."
