Qatar- AZF announces winners of photography and children's poster competitions

DOHA: Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) has announced the winners of the Photography and Best Children's Poster competitions, both of which were held on the side-lines of the 2nd Aspire International Kite Festival.

The Photography competition was organised in collaboration with Qatar Photographic Society (QPS) and encouraged Qatar's photography enthusiasts to capture the International Kite Festival action through the artistic medium of photography.

An organising committee made up of QPS experts and led by Ahmed Al Khulaifi, Chairman of the Qatar Photographic Society, Abdulrahman Obaidan, Vice President of the QPS, and Mohammed Abdullah, selected five winners from more than a thousand entries across Qatar that were submitted on Instagram under the #AspireKiteFest hashtag.

Ibrahem Naim Alomari was named first-place winner and received a QR20,000 cash prize; Jake Paulo Llamas came in second place and won a business-class plane ticket to a destination of his choice; while Mohamed Nageeb Nasr came in third place and received two economy class plane tickets. Ali Ali Gad and Said Muhamed Firos came in fourth and fifth places respectively and each received a professional camera.
