(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) width="237" height="151" data-recalc-dims="1" />Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera urged politicians not to make the cricket issue in Sri Lanka a political issue.
He said that while Sri Lanka lost the recent series in Colombo featuring Bangladesh and India, the Sri Lankans had also won some games earlier.
The Minister said that no one can expect the team to win every game and losing a few games is very much part of cricket.
Jayasekera was responding to a question raised in Parliament today.
Asked who is responsible for the Sri Lankan team losing the recent games, Jayasekera said that the captain on the field is responsible. (Colombo Gazette)
