Topless photos, gym selfies and pictures alongside attractive women have been revealed as the biggest profile picture turn-offs for women on dating apps.
New research of 5,000 people has revealed the pictures that are most likely to make women swipe right, with a profile picture in the countryside among the most popular.
Featuring a snap with a dog in it, showing off your tattoos and having a picture showing a car were also revealed as popular choices.
The study, conducted by the world's leading dating app, Badoo, found significant disparities between what men and women like to see if dating pics.
In total contrast to the women surveyed, men do seem to like photos taken in the gym, full length pictures and women posing for mirror selfies.
Group photos in which it is hard to tell which is them came out as the pictures that got the most left swipes.
That was followed by photos with attractive men and photos taken with a filter on.
Badoo's in house dating expert Abbie Moujaes commented: 'It's interesting to see the drastic difference between what men and women want to see while swiping!
"In light of these results we decided to conduct a test with a small pool of our users to see if changing/removing certain images would garner a higher response rate…
"The results reflected those from the stats, men who removed shirtless images started receiving more matches as did women who deleted those dreaded 'snapchat filter' selfies!"
