(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- It was yet another proud moment for Muscat Private Hospital as Dr Majida al Irhayim, head of IVF department, was recognised and awarded the Woman of the Year 2018 in the healthcare category.
Dr Majida has vast experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has over 20 years of experience in Infertility and IVF Treatment. She obtained the membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists from London, UK in the 80s and has also been awarded a fellowship from the same college in 1995. She joined as a senior consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Ministry of Health of Oman in 1996.
Sensing the need for increasing awareness about the infertility treatment, Dr Majida joined Muscat Private Hospital to open the first IVF treatment department in a private hospital. She is recognised as a pioneer and subject-matter expert in IVF treatment therapies across GCC countries and has made untiring efforts in increasing awareness about this subject.
Dr Majida has led the IVF department at Muscat Private Hospital successfully over the past 17 years and has contributed to the joy of more than 1,000 couples by helping them achieve parenthood. The IVF department at Muscat Private Hospital is known to handle complex cases and has a high success ratio, thanks to the efforts and contribution of Dr Majida and her team.
After winning this prestigious award, she said, 'It's indeed a proud moment not just for me but all the women in Oman. It's been my mission and commitment to serve the women of Oman and provide them with world-class health solutions and facility. I dedicate this award to the resolute spirit of womanhood and I also wish to thank Muscat Private Hospital for all the supportextending.'
