(MENAFN) A gunman has attacked a high school in Maryland causing two injuries and leading for the attacker himself to die.
St. Mary's County Public Schools declared "there has been a shooting at Great Mills High School. The school is on lock down, the event is contained, the Sheriff's office is on the scene."
Local sheriff's office has explained the incident, saying that a male student shot a female in the hallway right before school started, causing a male student to be injured.
The death of the gunman has come amid gunfire with a school resource officer who students and staff notified him of the attack.
