ABU DHABI, 20th March, 2018 (WAM) -- The Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation held its first meeting this year, chaired by H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation.
During the meeting, Sheikh Nahyan highlighted the importance of the Foundation's work, especially during the Year of Zayed. He directed the board to increase their efforts to provide humanitarian and charitable assistance to those in need, to achieve the Foundation's goals established by the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He went on to say that these goals have helped promote the nation's civilisation and development, and are being carried forward under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, who prioritise humanitarian and charitable action to achieve the happiness of all UAE citizens and residents.
The board reviewed the minutes of the previous meetings, and discussed items on the agenda, including the Foundation's administrative and financial affairs. They also approved the hiring of an external auditor and the Foundation's estimated budget for 2018-2019, while also making some amendments to its statute.
