(MENAFN) Relief crews discovered the corpse of a Spanish Civil Guard officer who was swept away while rescuing three people trapped by rising waters close to the southern district of Seville.
Diego Diez,aged 52, has died amid assisting three people to get out their car,which has been dragged into a stream nearby Guillena town in the poor weather state.
Nearly 200 rescue workers and volunteers helped in the search for Diez regardless the high water levels,however,the process was paused Monday evening.
His body was returned at 10 a.m.when the search continued.
