Jim Carrey receives backlash over 'Christaphobe' painting

(MENAFN) American-Canadian actor Jim Carrey has received brutal condemnation over a painting he posted on social media.

The painting posted on Twitter appeared to be representing White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in a picture that seemed "monstrous".

"This is the portrait of a so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked. Monstrous!" the actor wrote in his caption for the post.

Carry has been hit with criticism and accusations of being a "Christaphobe" as well as sexist due to the canvas he painted.
