(MENAFN- UkrinForm) President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister, Interior Minister of Qatar Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani have held a meeting in Qatar, the president's press service reports.
During the talks, the parties positively assessed the active development of mutual trade and economic cooperation and agreed to hold an intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in 2018.
'The interlocutors agreed to hold an intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in 2018," reads the report.
The parties also stressed a significant potential for further deepening bilateral cooperation in many areas and noted that various products of Ukraine's agro-industrial complex had already entered the Qatar market, as well as products of domestic metallurgy. Also, the interlocutors discussed possible implementation of infrastructure projects by Ukrainian companies in the framework of Qatar's preparations for hosting the World Cup in 2022.
As Ukrinform reported, President Petro Poroshenko on March 20 is on an official visit to the State of Qatar.
