(MENAFN- Daily Outlook Afghanistan) KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani on Monday promised creation of as high council on monads and directed relevant ministries for solution to 10 fundamental problems of the Kuchis.
A statement from the Presidential Palace to Pajhwok Afghan News said President Ghani met with nomads' representatives from different provinces at the Salaam Khana Palace on Sunday evening.
The president thanked nomads' representatives for their support to the government and their role in defending the country.
He also thanked them for sharing Kuchis' problems and promised to direct relevant ministries and organs for solution of 10 fundamental problems of nomads.
The proposed high council would be created for fundamental solution to nomads' problems and their better coordination with relevant ministries, Ghani said, adding the council would hold monthly meetings for assessing nomads' problems.
The statement added nomads representatives in the Wolesi Jirga or lower house MualviTarakhelMohammadi, and a nomads rights activist, DelawarFiazan and other representatives announced their support for the government and its plans.
The representatives shared their demands in areas of education, health, livestock, pastures, shelter, deep wells, nomads' townships and shared other problems with the president.
They said their lands and pastures occupied by powerful figures should be given back to them. (Pajhwok)
