JA Solar provides rooftop project to Jordan


(MENAFN) Chinese solar products maker JA Solar Holdings Co Ltd (NASDAQ:JASO) said Tuesday it has delivered 3 MW of photovoltaic (PV) modules for the largest rooftop solar project so far in Jordan.

Located at Yarmouk University, the solar array is made up of 9,232 solar panels installed atop the roofs of 29 buildings across the campus.

The project was developed, designed and built by local renewable energy company Kawar Energy.

JA Solar said that in 2017 its total solar module shipment to Jordan reached 130.2 MW, accounting for almost 50% of the market.
