'Raid' becomes second highest opening weekend grosser of 2018

After taking a stupendous start on Friday, Ajay Devgn's 'Raid' showed massive growth on Saturday and Sunday to emerge the second highest opening weekend grosser of 2018 after 'Padmaavat'.
The film raked in Rs. 41.01 crore in the first three days, surpassing Akshay Kumar starrer 'PadMan' which had fetched Rs. 40.05 crore.
'Raid' also stars Ileana D'Cruz and Saurabh Shukla.
A commendable feat for a non-commercial film

To see a content-oriented film put up such huge numbers at the box office is both heartening and an eye-opener for the industry.
'Raid' has certainly proved that a film devoid of commercial trappings and heavy marketing can also emerge a success solely on the basis of its powerful story.
The film has been directed by Raj Kumar Gupta.
