Brazil:hundreds march for the murder case of councilwoman,driver


(MENAFN) Hundreds of Brazilians went out in a protest for the murder case of both a councilwoman,and Marielle Franco,a human rights activist.

Franco and her driver, Anderson Pedro Gomes,were killed as they went back from an event to encourage the power young black women.

Protesters met up in Rio's Mare slum,where Franco was raised,then began their march toward Avenida Brasil,the major north-south artery across the cit.

Many protesters held banners revealing:"Marielle and Anderson Present Today and Always."
