(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Bank Sohar supported celebration of World Civil Defence Day organised by The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances (PACDA), underscoring its commitment to issues related to safety, community empowerment and social well-being.
Under the theme of 'Civil Defence and National Institutions against Disasters', a celebratory event was held at Sur College of Applied Sciences under the auspices of H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Mustahil bin Salem Shamas, Governor of South Sharqiyah.
During the event, a short video was played about the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances, followed by a number of informative and educational activities that complemented the accompanying safety exhibition. Before the closing, H E Sheikh Abdullah presented Bank Sohar with a token of appreciation in recognition of their support for the event which was received by Bank Sohar's Sur branch representative.
Reiterating the bank's commitment towards community and social causes, Sasi Kumar, acting CEO, said, 'We are always keen to support causes that seek to uplift and safeguard the community. It stems from the bank's commitment towards bringing about effective social change through numerous outreach initiatives. The safety exhibition aspect of the event continued till March 7, offering the public with various activities on general safety, displays of safety equipment, on-site training and demonstrations of how to administer first-aid and protocols on domestic fire safety.
In promoting the safety and general welfare of the society, Bank Sohar finds common ground with The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances.
