Oman- National Committee for Road Safety reviews traffic status


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The National Committee for Road Safety on Sunday held a meeting under the chair of Lt Gen Hassan bin Mohsen al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, and head of the committee.

H E Eng Mohsen bin Mohammed bin Ali al Sheikh, chairman of Muscat Municipality was also present.

The committee reviewed traffic status in the sultanate, as well as annual statistics indicators that showed a remarkable decline in the number of traffic accidents, resulting in injuries and deaths during the previous period. It also reviewed works related to assessing efforts exerted by the concerned institutions to ensure their continuity in a bid to enhance traffic safety across the sultanate.
